Till next week,
What I have been reading: “ADHD: A Hunter in a Farmer’s World” – Thom Hartmann. A fascinating read which explains how and why some of us retained a hunter gatherer gene meaning we are hyper-focused, restless, impulsive and constantly seeking the next quest whilst the majority evolved to become farmers, who could control their environment and leverage it to manage uncertainty so they were no longer a nomadic people but “grew roots”, planting crops and growing communities. Makes you realise that our systems and institutions only cater for the majority who are content to accept the status quo and conform.
What I have been watching: NetfIix “The World According to Lidia Poet” – period drama set in Turin and based on the true story of Italy’s first female lawyer fighting disbarment in a chauvinistic world of the 1800’s.
What I have been reflecting on: Critics – I would feel sorry for them if I had time to care enough. Love Zig Ziglar’s saying about one’s enemies – “Sometimes the only taste of success they’ll ever get is to take a bite out of you”
What I have been doing: Looking at “end product” properties. Best fun ever! Love going to aspirational homes and seeing what the market is delivering. I saw one from a high-end builder featured on Grand Designs on Saturday – OMG! Made me want to throw in the towel and pay top dollar and just buy his build – I could NEVER compete!
PS: We released a new podcast episode, it is How To Find Your Next Investment Property In 24 Hours. You can listen to it on Apple, Spotify, Youtube, our Website or wherever you find your podcasts, you don’t want to miss it.
